I just got this mixtape from Vicknoise and, as always when he’s behind the decks, it’s really great. It’s a short mix with only 11 tracks but the selection contains many of my favourites…I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I do!

1. Fear of tigers – the adventures of pippi longstrump (diamond cut remix)

2. Bag raiders – nil by mouth (kinghtlife remix)

3. Tensnake – In the end (I want to cry)

4. Dj hell – U can dance (Carl Craig remix v2)

5. Keenhouse – Ari_es (Grum remix)

6. Shiny toy guns – Starts with one (classixx remix)

7. Michael Cassette – Moonlight runner

8. Editors – You don’t know love (Boys Noize classic mix)

I’ve never been a big fan of Groove Armada but it seems like things are changing. First out was I won’t kneel and now Shameless and Paper Romance, all three from their upcoming album Black Light. Bryan Ferry has done some really interesting collaborations lately, first the vocal on Dj Hell’s you can dance, a track that’s been around for a time and that will be officially released this days. Carl Craig has done an amazing remix that I think’s gonna be played a lot this spring.  Melodic, not too hard and a smooth vocal, for me it’s techno at its best. The other collab is Shameless, a song that Ferry has co-written with Groove Armada. It isn’t hard to notice that the old man has done more than only the vocal, it feels like a classic Bryan Ferry track, just with a little more bass. I’ve had it on repeat for the last  days and it feels like one of those tracks that I won’t get tired of, ever.

Two of the most played tracks in the beginning of the year was Groove ArmadaDrop the tough (Van She Remix) and Edwin Van Cleef All I have to offer (orignal & Cyndi Seui remix). Vicknoise made a mixtape in April with both included and I really like how he mixes the tracks. You’ll find the mixtape below, the mix is around minute 34 but the entire mix is great and you can download it here.

Stay tuned because I’ll post some exclusive upcoming material from Vicknoise & Edwin here during next week!
