Paul Kalkbrenner did an amazing live last night and I was almost euphoric until a moron decided to destroy it all by throwing a drink at the stage that hit one of the security guys bad in his face. What the fuck was this person thinking off? Mr Kalkbrenner went strictly off the stage (the only right thing to do) and I went home, and one incredible night got an abrupt and sad ending.

I think I’m still upset but after listening to Robyn’s new single Dancing on my own at least I feel a bit better, a good electropop track knows how to cure (almost) everything.

#248 dancehall queen

I didn’t know what to expect before listening to this collaboration between Robyn and Diplo named Dancehall Queen. I’m not a big fan of dancehall, about Diplo I normally like 1 of 10 tracks so I put my hope to Robyn, who is one of my favourite artists. The result did surprise me, it’s a smooth and relaxed track, Robyn’s voice well combined with dancehall and Diplo details but without getting too much. And it makes me think about chilling, BBQ and beer…

We started the new year with an oldie, Patrick Cowley’s amazing thank god for music, continued  to the club and a brilliant live from the Requesters and I culminated the night by dancing like a mad to Dusty Kid’s remix of Robyn‘s Be mine. To summarize; a terrific night!

Today I’m feeling great, no hangover, just in a happy mode, listening to 80s and watching movies.

My day is already done. I just found Robyn’s remix of El Perro Del MarChange of heart at Jp’s blog and I love it. It’s the first remix that Robyn does and with her talent and skills I’m not surprised about the result. I’m really looking forward hearing more remixes from her.
